PHOENIX, AZ – AUGUST 24, 2026 – Yesterday, KSBB-CD in Santa Barbara, California, transitioned its ATSC 3.0 broadcast signal signing to ATSC3CA™, the certificate authority operated by Silicondust. KSBB-CD is now using ATSC3CA signal signing certificates to authenticate its NEXTGEN TV® broadcasts and meet the signing security requirements of the ATSC 3.0 standards.
Owned by The News-Press & Gazette Company, KSBB-CD transitioned its low power television operations to the new ATSC 3.0 transmission standard on October 10, 2018. KSBB-CD is part of KEYT News Channel 3-12 that serves the Santa Barbara, Santa Maria, and San Luis Obispo, California markets and broadcasts primary network programming for ABC (on digital subchannel 3.1) and CBS (on subchannel 3.2), alongside a local news/MyNetworkTV subchannel (3.3).
